Since graduating in the late 90s with a first class honours degree in 3d design, Lewis Morgan quickly went on to create a career in public art and environmental improvement works. Commissioned by local authorities and regeneration trusts, he has developed a working process which keeps community involvement at the heart of the creative process.
“Working as a sculptor I relish not knowing exactly what’s going to happen, and letting material and process shape the final piece. Its the same in public art, the input from a local community, whether it be the raw energy from children’s maquettes and ideas, or information passed on by local history groups, all shapes the final work, each time resulting in a truly unique response to every project.”
